My Bio:
Originally from Hawaii with the heat, moisture and being a minority I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1967. Started skiing in 1972 but by 1980 could not find folks to go with my abilities in the off-trail, deep stuff; so I got into snowmobiling. What first started out a way to get to the remote radio sites turned into a wonderful, fun sport. Slicing through that new white snow is wonderful therapy, forgetting about all the crap going on in cities and around the county and worldwide.
By the 21st century sleds were so far advanced I was going places never thought possible. In some cases my group will find places probably no one has been, at least in the winter.
I'm very passionate about the sport; willing to help just about anyone in the hills, whether stuck or just to say hello. I'm compatible with just about any type of group and try to do the right thing. I normally do not get alone with "clicks" AKA, "boyclubs", but I prefer to consider anyone just out to have fun, no matter what one is riding, where they come from or what ethic group. I do have my wild moments on the hills and in town, but generally try to keep it legal. Most anything goes. A few folks like to pack in beer and other foods for a break. While I'm tolerant with the beer, anyone planning on doing "dope" needs leave that at home as that's not legal. Communications are important if the group gets separated for a long time, so you need to have a 2-way radio as well. Having a rough survival plan is also a good idea; at least plan to meet up the last place everyone was together. If you can work with that we should get along just fine and would like to hear from you for planning a day trip.
You may consider visiting my web site web site for information on that. snowmobile page. It has lots of information that may be helpful to you.
Getting to the radio sites permitted me to maintain my Amateur Radio stations, located in several sites in the area.
This being another hobby and passion I have provided communications to many Amateurs since 1975.
I maintain a web site web site for information on that.
